Other NoteBorn ca. 1611. Matriculated from Trinity College, Cambridge in 1629; BA, 1632/33. Curate of Beeston, Leeds in 1639 before becoming a chaplain in the Parliamentary Army during the Civil War. Vicar of Rothwell in 1647, then curate of Holbeck, Leeds from January 1658/59. Ejected in 1662 but continued preached in Holbeck. Licensed as Presbyterian there in 1672, but afterwards convicted of holding dissenting assemblies. Calamy notes that "it could never be discover'd what Judgment he was of: whether Presbyterian, Congregational or Episcopal." Died 20 April 1689. GEMMS person 2714 is possibly the same person.
