Other NoteChristopher Love was born in Cardiff. His exact date of birth is unknown. He was converted to evangelical Christianity in 1633 upon hearing William Erbury preach. Love matriculated at New Inn Hall, Oxford at the age of seventeen on 29 July 1635. He graduated B.A. on 2 May 1639 and proceeded M.A. on 26 March 1642. He was expelled from the university for his nonconformity. He was minister of St Anne and St Agnes, Aldersgate and rector of St Lawrence Jewry. In 1649, he became involved in a plot to bring the exiled Charles II to the throne of England. Love was arrested on 14 May 1651, found guilty of high treason, and beheaded at Tower Hill on 22 August 1651. He was buried at St Lawrence Jewry.
