Other NoteThe exact birth date of Lucy Harington is unknown. She was the daughter of John Harington, First Baron Harington of Exton (1539/40-1613). She was baptised on 25 January 1581 at St Dunstan and All Saints, Stepney, Middlesex. On 12 December 1594, she married Edward Russell, Third Earl of Bedford (1572-1627). They had no surviving children. Lucy Russell, Countess of Bedford, is best remembered today as a patron of literature and the arts. In particular, she was a close friend of John Donne in 1607-1615. She died on 26 May 1627 and was buried at Exton, Rutland.
