Other NoteThe exact birth date of George Dalston is unknown. He matriculated as a fellow-commoner of Queens' College, Cambridge, c. 1596. He was knighted on 26 June 1607. Dalston served as MP for Cumberland in 1620, 1624, 1628 and 1640-1643. He sided with the Royalists during the years of the English Civil Wars. Dalston was buried on 28 September 1657. His funeral sermon was preached at Dalston, Cumberland by Jeremy Taylor.
