Other NoteRobert Bolton was born at Blackburn, Lancashire on Whitsunday, 25 May 1572. In 1592, Bolton was admitted to Lincoln College, Oxford. He graduated B.A. from Brasenose College, Oxford on 2 December 1596, proceeding M.A. on 8 July 1602. He was also awarded the degree of B.D. on 14 December 1609. Shortly after, on 22 June 1610, he was licensed to preach. From 1609 until his death on 17 December 1631, Bolton was rector of Broughton, Northamptonshire.
