Other NoteThe exact birth date of Nicolas Estwick is unknown. Born at Harrowden, Northamptonshire, he matriculated sizar at Christ's College, Cambridge in June 1602, graduating B.A. in 1605/6 and proceeding M.A. in 1609. From 1609 until 1618, he was a fellow at Christ's. He was also awarded the degree of B.D. in 1616. In 1617, he became rector of Barnwell All Saints', Northamptonshire, and rector of Warkton, Northamptonshire. Estwick published several works during the course of his career, including A Learned and Godly Sermon (London, 1633), which was originally delivered at the funeral of the clergyman Robert Bolton (1572-1631); Christ's Submission to his Fathers Will (London, 1644); A Treatise of the Holy Ghost (London, 1648); and Mr Bidle's Confession of Faith (London, 1656). Towards the end of his life, he was instituted to the rectory of Bottesford, Leicestershire. Estwick was buried at Warkton on 9 September 1658.
