Other NoteThe exact birth date of George Cokayn is unknown. He was baptised on 16 January 1620 at Cople, Bedfordshire. He was admitted pensioner at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge on 25 February 1636 at the age of sixteen, graduating B.A. in 1640. In 1642, he was lecturer of All Hallows, Barking. He lectured at St Michael, Crooked Lane, London in 1647 until 1648. He was also rector of St Pancras, Soper Lane from 1648 until 1660. In the Restoration, he preached at several conventicles in London. Cokayn died on 21 November 1691 and was buried at Bunhill Fields.
