Other NoteBishop of Bangor and of Lincoln. Born ca. 1674 in Leverington, Cambridgeshire to Dorothy Conyars and her husband Richard Reynolds, rector there. Admitted pensioner at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge in 1689; scholar in 1690; migrated to Trinity Hall in November 1694 where he proceeded LLB in 1695 and LLD in 1701. Ordained deacon in 1697, then priest in 1698. Rector of Conington, Cambridgeshire, and of Denton, Huntingdonshire, in 1698. Prebendary and chancellor of Peterborough in 1704, positions he held until 1718 when he became dean of Peterborough. Made rector of St Peter's, Northampton in 1715, a post he retained even as he became Bishop of Banhor in 1721 and then of Lincoln in 1723. Named chaplain to George I in 1715. Married Sarah, daughter of the bishop of Peterborough in the 1720s and they had eight children, seven of which were ordained. He died 15 January 1744.
