Other NoteThe exact birth date of Thomas Holborough is unknown. He was admitted pensioner at Emmanuel College, Cambridge on 18 February 1617/8. Elected a scholar, he graduated B.A. in 1621/2 and proceeded M.A. in 1625. From 1628 he was vicar of Battisford, Suffolk, and he also held the rectory of Akenham from 1661. However, he was ejected in 1662. His name appears in one of the prefaces to the reader (from sig. A4r) in Samuel Blackerby, Sermons Preached on Several Occasions (London, 1674).
