Other NoteMr. Abney is a scribe who copied the four sermons by Isaac Watts [DWL 12.63 (1)]. This scribe is most likely Sir Thomas Abney (ca. 1639/40-1672), dissenter and Lord Mayor of London at the time of Watts' sermons. Watts would later serve as his chaplain.
