Other NoteThe exact birth date of Thomas Depup is unknown. He was born at Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, the son of Thomas Depup, hostler, of Waltham, Leicestershire, c. 1618. Depup attended school at Melton Mowbray. He was admitted sizar, aged eighteen, at St John's College, Cambridge on 1 July 1636, graduating B.A. in 1639/40 and proceeding M.A. in 1643. Thomas Depup was ordained deacon at Peterborough on 17 December 1641.
