Other NoteHobbs received his B.A. from Trinity College, Oxford on 27 November 1617, his M.A. from Brasenose College 27 June 1621, and his B.D. from Trinity College, 10 May 1630. He was licensed to preach in 1633 and received his D.D. in 29 November 1639. Rector of Kimpton [Kympton], Hampshire from 1653; rector of Sherrington, Wiltshire from 1657; Canon of Salisbury Cathedral (Sarum) from 1662.
