Other NoteThe exact date of birth of Henry Snooke is unknown. Born c. 1658 to John Snooke of Dorchester, Henry Snooke matriculated at Christ Church, University of Oxford on 17 July 1674 at the age of sixteen. He graduated B.A. in 1678, proceeding M.A. in 1683. He served as canon of Chichester in 1681 and held the living of Brighton in the same year. From 1690, he was vicar of Ringmer, Sussex. Henry Snooke died in c. 1727. His memorial is still extant at St Mary the Virgin Churchyard, Ringmer, Sussex.
