Other NoteThe exact date of birth of Richard Chamberlain is unknown. He matriculated pensioner from Trinity College, Cambridge in Michaelmas Term (1583), graduating B.A. in 1586/7 and proceeding M.A. in 1590. Chamberlain was ordained as deacon and priest on 13 April 1590. He served as curate of Holywell, Huntingdonshire, in 1613. He may also have served as rector of Rickinghall, Suffolk, during the period of the English Civil Wars.
