Other NoteThe exact date of birth of Alexander Fetherston is unknown. He was born in Westmorland, Yorkshire, the son of Christopher, rector of Bentham, Yorkshire. Alexander Fetherston matriculated at The Queen's College, Oxford on 17 October 1634, aged seventeen. He graduated B.A. on 30 January 1637/8, proceeding M.A. on 13 October 1640. In the Restoration, Fetherston became canon of Lichfield. He was also instituted to the vicarage of Wallasey, Cheshire in 1661. Twelve years later, he became vicar of Wolverton, Buckinghamshire. He was buried at Wolverton on 2 August 1684.
