Other NoteNathaniel Ward was born on 2 January 1605. He matriculated sizar at King's College, Cambridge in 1619 (Michaelmas Term). Ward graduated B.A. in 1623/4, proceeding M.A. in 1627. He was instituted to the vicarage of Staindrop, County Durham in 1635. He held this parish until December 1644, when he died fighting on the Royalist side in Cumberland.
