Other NoteEleanora Atherton was born on 14 February 1782 in Manchester, England. She was the daughter of the barrister Henry Atherton and his wife, Ann. As an heiress, she made regular charitable bequests to local charities in Manchester and Salford. In 1841, she financed the building of Holy Trinity Church, Hulme. Atherton died on 12 September 1870, and was buried at St Paul's, Kersall Moor, ten days later.
