Other NoteJoseph Mede was born in October 1586 at Berden, Essex. He matriculated sizar from Christ's College, Cambridge in Easter 1603, graduating B.A. in 1607 and procceding M.A. in 1610. Mede was a Fellow of Christ's College from 1613. In 1618, he was awarded the degree of B.D, taking up the post of Mildmay Greek lecturer in the same year. Joseph Mede died on 1 October 1638 at Christ's College, and was buried in the College Chapel on 2 October. His publications continued to appear in print after his death in the latter half of the seventeenth century.
