Other NoteThe son of Thomas Brooke, rector of Okeford, Devon. He was born in Okeford and schooled in Exeter and Tiverton. He was admitted on 6 May 1651 to Sidney Sussex College, aged 18 and gained his BA in 1654/5, MA 1658 and became a fellow. He was Rector of Great Yeldham from 1660 until his death in 1716. He had three known sons, Samuel (CCEd ID 161471); Thomas (CCEd ID 161474) and Zacariah (CCEd ID 5016).
