Other NoteNotes in the Essex Record Office say that the Mr Burwell who preached Sermon 23687 cannot be identified, however it seems likely that he was William Burwell (Burrell) of Essex. He was admitted at Queens' College in 1667/7, graduated BA 1671/2, MA 1675. He signed for deacon's orders in Lodnon on 1 June 1672, and gained his first known role as Rector of Great Pardon in 1680. From 1681-7 he was rector of Bow Brickhill, and from 1683 until his death in 1704 rector of Morden, where he was buried. He married Honora Wooton of Malton, Cambridgeshire on 18 September 1673.
