Other NoteThe exact date of birth of John Feriby is unknown. He was the son of John Feriby of Cirencester, Gloucestershire. He matriculated at All Souls College, Oxford at the age of seventeen on 18 November 1631. He was awarded the degree of M.A. on 11 May 1637. In 1645, he was sequestered to the rectory of Theydon Garnon, Essex, and he also served as lecturer of Epping. His surviving publication is entitled The Lawfull Preacher (London, 1652).
