Other NoteThe exact date of birth of Richard Blinman is unknown. The son of William Blinman of Chepstow, Monmouthshire, he matriculated, aged twenty, at New Inn Hall, Oxford on 24 April 1635. He graduated B.A. on 19 January 1635/6. In c. 1640, he migrated to America. Blinman was the first ordained minister of the First Congregational Church, originally established in 1642 at Gloucester, MA. In 1650, he moved to New London, where he preached until 1658. A year later, he returned to England. In the 1670s, he resided in Bristol, England. Blinman published A Rejoynder to Mr Henry Danvers in 1675. His will was proved in 1687.
