Other NoteThe exact date of birth of William Hubbock is unknown. He matriculated, aged nineteen, at Magdalen Hall, Oxford on 15 April 1580, graduating B.A. from Magdalen College, Oxford on 17 February 1581. Subsequently, he was a scholar and fellow of Corpus Christ College, Oxford, and proceeded M.A. on 9 June 1585. In 1587, he was ordained deacon and priest. In March 1594, he became rector of St Peter ad Vincula, Tower of London; less than three years later, he also became lecturer at St Botolph's, Aldgate. He was also instituted to the rectory of Nailstone, Leicestershire in 1598. Hubbock published several works, including An Apologie of Infants in a Sermon (London, 1595); An Oration Gratvlatory to the High and Mighty Iames of England, &c. (Oxford, 1604); and Great Brittaines Resvrrection (London, 1606). His will was dated 20 July 1631.
