Other NoteThe exact date of birth of Nathaniel Wakefield is not known. The son of Thomas Wakefield (d. 1669), rector of Horseheath in Cambridgeshire, Nathaniel was admitted pensioner at his father's college (Trinity, Cambridge) on 1 June 1652. He graduated B.A. in 1655/6 and proceeded M.A. in 1659. Nathaniel was ordained at Ely in 1662/3. He held the living of Pampisford, Cambridgeshire from 1662 until 1670, and the living of Wendens Ambo, Essex from 1665 until his death in 1678.
