Other NoteHenry Bradshaw was born on 2 February 1831 in London, the son of Joseph Hoare Bradshaw, a banker. Bradshaw was educated at Eton College and King's College, Cambridge, where he graduated B.A. in 1854 and proceeded M.A. in 1857. From 1853 until 1886, he was a Fellow of the College. In 1857-58, and also in 1863-65, he served as Dean of King's College. He was also involved in the University Library, becoming Superintendent of Manuscripts from 1859 until 1867. He was elected FSA in 1860. Bradshaw died of heart failure on 10 February 1886, and was buried in King's College Chapel five days later. The Henry Bradshaw Society was founded in his memory four years later.
