Other NoteHalswell Tynte was baptised on 4 February 1649, the son of John Tynte of Chelvey, Somerset. Halswell Tynte matriculated at Hart Hall, Oxford on 9 March 1665/6, aged seventeen. He became a student of the Middle Temple in 1667. On 7 June 1673, he was created a baronet. Sir Halswell Tynte served as M.P. for Bridgwater from 1678 to 1681, and from 1685 until 1687. He was buried on 9 April 1702.
