Other NoteThe exact date of birth of Edward Kellett is not known. Born in the parish of St Olave, Southwark, he was educated at Eton College and King's College, Cambridge, where he was admitted as a scholar on 25 August 1598. Kellett became a fellow of his college in 1601, subsequently graduating B.A. in 1603 and proceeding M.A. in 1606. He was ordained deacon on 20 December 1606 and priest a day later. Kellett was instituted to the rectory of West Bagborough, Somerset, on 28 May 1608. Kellett was awarded the degree of B.D. in 1613, proceeding D.D. in 1621. On 6 November 1615, he was given the additional living of Crowcombe, Somerset. Less than five years later, he became a prebendary of Exeter Cathedral. His will was proved on 29 May 1641.
