Other NoteThe exact date of birth of Henry Robinson is unknown. He attended the Queen's College, Oxford, graduating B.A. in July 1572 and proceeding M.A. three years later. in May 1576, he became principal of St Edmund Hall, and was promoted to provost of the Queen's College five years later. On 27 May 1598, Robinson was elected bishop of Carlisle; he was consecrated on 23 July by the bishop of London. He died of plague on 19 June 1616, and was buried on the same day at Carlisle Cathedral.
