Other NoteHenry More was born in Grantham, Lincolnshire, on 12 October 1614. In 1628, he began studies at Eton College; three years later, he matriculated at Christ's College, Cambridge. More graduated B.A. in 1636 and proceeded M.A. three years later. In 1641, he was ordained and elected fellow of Christ's; shortly afterwards, he was presented with the benefice of Ingoldsby, Lincolnshire. A philosopher of the Cambridge Platonist school, he was to remain a fellow at Christ's for the rest of his life. More died on 1 September 1687.
