Other NoteHis name is either Pyke or Pike according to the Bodleian cataloguer. SI (ID: 21994) directs us to the record for William Pike (SI, ID 21447), where we learn that this same "Pike" has been identified as both "Joseph" and "Thomas," but that his real name was "William" as evidenced in the will of Elizabeth Smalley of Shepshed, If this "William" is indeed our "Thomas", he was born in 1656 in Cleobury, Shropshire, and died at Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire, 21 October 1706. These dates would fit those for Thomas Pike in MS. Rawl. E. 108.
