Other NoteThe exact birth date of John Allen is unknown. A Suffolk man, he was admitted sizar at Trinity College, Cambridge on 27 April 1629. He migrated to Peterhouse on 29 January 1630/1. After Allen was ejected from Yarmouth in 1661/2, he bought a home in Gorleston, Suffolk, outside the jurisdiction of the Bishop of Norwich, and preached there frequently. He died there in 1665, aged over 50.
