Other NoteThe exact date of birth of Henry Greswold is not known. He was admitted pensioner at Trinity College, Cambridge, on 30 June 1645. He graduated B.A. in 1648/9 and was awarded a fellowship. Greswold proceeded M.A. in 1652. Initially admitted at Gray's Inn on 19 May 1656, he stayed in the Church, first serving as vicar of Gainford, County Durham, a post he held until his death. Greswold was also instituted to the rectory of Solihull from 1660. In the same year, he was prebend of Ripon. From 1666, he also served as precentor of Lichfield Cathedral. Finally, from 1681 until his death, he served as sub-dean of Ripon. Henry Greswold died on 6 October 1700.
