Other NoteThe exact date of birth of Daniel Dyke is not known. The son of the minister William Dyke (d. 1608), he matriculated pensioner from St John's College, Cambridge, c. 1593. Dyke graduated B.A. in 1595/6 and proceeded M.A. (from Sidney Sussex College) in 1599. He was awarded the degree of B.D. in 1606 and became a fellow of Sidney Sussex College. Dyke's patrons were Lord and Lady Harington of Exton. Dyke died in 1614; his works were published posthumously by his younger brother Jeremiah.
