Other NoteEdward Palgrave, son of Thomas Palgrave of Pulham St Mary Magdalene, Norfolk, matriculated from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge in 1617; he graduated B.A. in 1620/1 and proceeded M.A. in 1624 and B.D. in 1632. He was ordained deacon in 1625 and was vicar of St Benet [Benedict], Cambridge from 1633-42. A fellow of Corpus Christi from 1622-1644 and rector of Diss, Norfolk from 1647-48, he was ejected from both positions. He was later made rector of Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire, where he was buried on 29 November 1656.
