Other NoteSubject of a funeral sermon preached on 19 March 1693/4. The sermon identifies him as "Mr. George Huxley of Bowse in Bedfordshire", but a place by this name does not seem to exist in Bedfordshire. He is presumably connected to the Huxley family based in Edmonton, Middlesex, where his funeral sermon was preached. This family includes George Huxley (d. 1627) who purchased Wyer Hall in Edmonton in 1609 and John Huxley, George's son (d. 1661). However, the younger George Huxley was evidently not John's son; ACAD lists his three sons, and none of them is named George (James, John, and Thomas).
