Other NoteThe associated sermon, preached in 1670, is dedicated to his patron, William Sancroft (ODNB Article 24610). There are a couple of possible candidates, but CCEd person 143154 matches the sermon and Sancroft's career dates most accurately. This Samuel Turner also held posts in the diocese of York, where Sancroft was dean before being appointed to St Paul's.
