Other NoteThomas Whincop graduated B.A. in 1670 from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge and was ordained priest in 1672. He was made curate of St. Benedict (St Bene't) Cambridge in 1676 and rector of St Mary Abchurch in 1681. He died on 4 December 1713. The vacancy record filled out at his death lists his qualifiation as "DD", although it is unclear if and when he received his doctorate.
