Other NoteThe sermon has been dated by the present cataloguer according to the date from which 'Mr Hely' came to preach at Bury St Edmunds. See Craig, p. 128. On f. 130r, there is a note by the auditor, dated 22 February 1617, explaining that the sermons in this manuscript preached by 'Mr Hely' and 'Mr Knewstubb' were noted at Bury (St Edmunds), while the sermons of 'Mr Walleise' (i.e. Jacob Wallais) were noted at Stowlangtoft, where the auditor lived.
