Additional MaterialBegins with an epistle dedicatory "to the truly virtuous, and his honoured friend, Mrs. Anne Cheincy: her best wishes." Dedicatory runs from column 69-72. Written from Bearsted, Kent on January 1,1625. Sermon is offered as a New Year's gift (column 71) and as a kind of christening sermon, though not offered on the occasion of her recent delivery but "occasioned" by it. Stonehouse sends Mrs. Cheincy these notes to read and hopes they "supplie the place of a better Librarie" (column 72).
