DescriptionThe Hastings Collection, Religious Box 3, Folder 16 contains a small, oblong sermon notebook. The present cataloguer has dated the sermon notebook from the time Lucy became Countess of Huntingdon until her death in 1679. It contains very short notes of sermons. Hastings frequently writes down the biblical verse, and sometimes summarises the doctrines and uses arising from each text. The names of preachers are not noted.
