DescriptionThis notebook, attributed to John Warly (d. 1679), rector of Charlton, Kent, contains biblical passages, sermon notes, and commentaries on both religious and political matters, including the English Civil Wars. The language used is English, although there is some Greek. On occasion, it is difficult to separate entries with certainty; in addition, no specific preaching dates or locations have been provided. The points within his sermon notes are frequently numbered. Some of the volume is written in reverse.
