DescriptionWilliam Cade describes the aftermath of his controversial sermon (see ff. 169r-171v in this MS), which defended the behaviour of non-jurors, to William Sancroft, who was himself deprived on 1 February 1690. Cade was 'insolently taken out of [his] house at Aldington [Addington, Kent] on Monday Jul. 7th in the evening, and carryed a Prisoner into Hyth'.
