DescriptionA neat cursive hand is used throughout. The handwriting used throughout this sermon matches the annotation made by Richard Bagnall on f. 52v. See Pamela J. Willetts, Catalogue of Manuscripts in the Society of Antiquaries of London (Woodbridge: D. S. Brewer, 2000), p. 154. '2d sermon. Luke 18.13. O god be mercifull to me A sinner' is written at the top of f. 31r. Bagnall explains that, in his previous sermon on Luke 18:13, he discussed the publican's fear, shame, and sorrow. This sermon is concerned with the words 'oh god be mercifull to me A sinner'. Bagnall promises to be 'as compendious and short as [he] can' (f. 31r).
