DescriptionPreacher unknown. The full title of this sermon is as follows: "A Sermon Preached att ye Funerall of Ms Lee, att Threekingham, Aprill ye 4. Anno Dom, 1682". After the Bible text, the principal doctrines are stated in terms of points. The prose becomes more continuous from the second leaf (recto). The last half of the final leaf is dedicated to a very brief eulogy of the deceased. The sermon ends by stating, "[...] I may say of her, as it was said of one, That if all women were like this woman, they would excell many men".

Other NotePreacher unknown. Although the forename of "Ms Lee" is not provided in the manuscript, according to W. A. Cragg, (see "Source of Data"), there was a monumental slab in the middle aisle near the pulpit of Threekingham church, which read: "Here lieth the body of Christian Lee who departed this life April 3rd AD. 1682". The sermon is written in a very neat italic hand, with catchwords at the bottom of every page. There is no marginalia. This manuscript was discovered in July 2018 by Hannah Yip.
