DescriptionThis manuscript is torn and the text is somewhat unclear with a lot of insertions and deletions. On folio 449r-v there are two lists of dates of preachings which may relate to this sermon, but it is difficult to be sure because of the damage to the first folio. Relevant ones are: ‘May 26 1703’, ‘Sepr 7 1704 a thanksgiving for the D of Mabl [Duke of Marlborough, for victories in the war of Spanish Succession], ‘June 23 1706 a thanksgiving sermon the 1st’, ‘Jan 16 1711/12 a fast at Rowlright & Swar’. As f.449r mentions 2 Samuel 22, relays the entire third verse, and is then followed by the preaching dates, it is also possible that this is a report of a different sermon and its preachings.
