On p. 336, the following has been written: '[...] That ye Supreme end of all Christ’s transactions with god, & undertakings for man, was to bring, or lead up man to God. joy in god through Christ. See this doctrine fully handled in ye Second Sermon of this booke, on that texte, i. Pet. 3.18. For Xt also hath once Suffered for Sin, ye just for ye unjust, yt he might bring us to God.'
