DescriptionThe sermon refers to bloody events, and the year 1646 is written in the margin on f. 192v. It is possible that the sermon was written later and refers to the events of that year, but the sermon appears to refer to present woes. The sermon is lengthy and liberally interspersed with commonplace entries. This sermon appears in the alphabetical "P" area of the manuscript, with entries to do with "peccatum." The manuscript as a whole may be transcribing sermons from manuscript or print that deal with the topics addressed in the commonplace book.
