DescriptionIn a neat secretary hand. Likely the same sermon as that included in Bodleian MS Rawl. E. 148, preached by Richard Spinkes at St John's in May of 1632 on Romans 1:14; however, the present MS identifies 11 May 1632 as the date of the preaching, while MS Rawl. E. 148 identifies it as 17 May 1632. The same sermon is also included in TCD MS 232 at Trinity College Dublin, although this MS identifies the sermon as being preached on 19 May 1632 in Oxford. This sermon was somewhat infamous, as Spinkes was forced to recant it (a fact that was noted in MS Rawl. E. 148 and TCD MS 232).
