Additional Material
Print Editions / WitnessesThere seems to be only a single reference to a printed version of this sermon. Giles Dent, A Funeral Sermon for the Rev. John Piggott (8º, 1734) is listed in Catalogue of the Library in Red Cross Street, Cripplegate, vol. 2 (London, 1841), p. 110, but seemingly nowhere else. There are also multiple printed editions of a funeral sermon for Piggott preached by Joseph Stennett.
DescriptionPreached at the funeral of John Piggott. This is a sermon said to be transcribed from a manuscript copy in the hands of S. Burlin by A. Gifford in 1734. This Gifford appears to be Andrew Gifford (see ODNB biography). The sermon is copied on thin paper, on rectos only.
