Description‘A sermon preached at the funerall of M[arianna] [Hepburn] spouse to the worshipful esquire W[illiam] L[ockhart] of Carstairs, 1637. March 8.’ Job 14:14. This is followed by sixteen Latin lines, apparently signed T. C. headed ‘In pire memorial dominam optimam Mariannam Hepburnam Gulielmi Lokharti Carstarii conjugem epitaphium.’ Written very closely in a very minute Scottish hand, most probably the handwriting of John Lindsay.
